At Nexus Manufacturing, sustainability isn\u2019t just a buzzword; it\u2019s a core principle that drives everything we do. As we embrace our new extrusion blow-moulding facility in Glasgow, we are proud to lead the charge in eco-friendly packaging solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the standout features of our operation is our investment in state-of-the-art all-electric blow-moulding machines. These advanced machines consume more than 50% less energy than older technologies, making them a game changer in the industry. This significant reduction in energy consumption not only lowers operational costs but also contributes to our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To further enhance our sustainability efforts, we have installed over 740 square metres of solar panels at our facility.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On bright days, we harness the power of the sun to run up to four of our machines, significantly reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources. This commitment to renewable energy ensures that our operations are as eco-friendly as possible while allowing us to produce high-quality packaging solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the materials we use, we take great care in selecting quality grades of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). These materials maximise top-load strength, impact performance, and chemical resistance, ensuring our bottles are durable and reliable. By utilising these premium polymer grades, we can create lightweight products that do not compromise on performance. This innovative approach not only meets the demands of our clients across various sectors, including Agrochemical, Automotive, and Personal Care, but also aligns with our sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Circular Economy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addition to using high-quality materials, we are also committed to incorporating recycled materials into our production process. We use post-consumer recycled HDPE (PCR) in appropriate applications, helping to close the loop in the plastic lifecycle. This not only reduces waste but also supports our vision of a circular economy where materials are reused and repurposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
