We have a tried and tested range of barrier containers that provide fantastic resistance to even the most aggressive chemicals.
It is common in our industry that when packing solvent based formulations into plastic (HDPE) containers, the contents will over a period of time migrate through the walls of the bottle. As the volume of the contents inside the container is reduced a vacuum is created causing the wall to suck in, this is referred to as ‘panelling’. We have a range of Coex Barrier and PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) products designed with specific properties that will vastly improve chemical resistance and ensure the integrity of your packaging remains intact.
Our Coex Barrier Packs are made from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and an inner Polyamide (PA) layer, which prevents the chemicals from permeating through the plastic. Polyamide is very resistant to wear and abrasion and its good mechanical properties prevent the bottle from being weakened in hotter climates.
Containers made from PET also have good resistance to aggressive chemicals. PET’s inherent barrier properties prevent solvent migration, protect and preserve packaged products against moisture (oxygen migration) and carbon dioxide.
