Nexus Packaging was founded in 2004 by our directors Chris Wagner and Mark Ferguson. In ten years, we have grown to become the leading plastic, steel and corrugated packaging supplier servicing the general chemical market in the UK. Here is our story:
2004
Nexus Packaging Formed
Nexus Packaging founded to supply a broad range of plastic containers and secondary packaging.
2005
Moved into our Glasgow Head Office
Moved to new offices at Nexus House in Glasgow.
Developed and launched our first trigger pack, custom tool.
2006
Online Ordering
Introduced on-line sales order processing system.
2007
Coex barrier containers
Launched range of Coex barrier containers for the agrochemical market.
2008
UV Repellant Packaging
Introduced UV repellant packaging to the general chemical market to protect UV sensitive chemicals.
2009
Customer Relationship Management System
Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management System implemented to improve customer service and support.
2010
UN Combination Cases
Introduced UN Combination Cases for our Agrochemical Containers.
Sharepoint on-line delivery calendar implemented.
2011
Ecostacker Launched & Glasgow Warehouse Opened
In partnership with RPC, launched our market leading, UN accredited Ecostacker Container with Safepour® anti glug system.
Glasgow warehouse opened.
2012
Horner Bottlemakers Award & Crewe Warehouse Opened
Ecostacker wins the Horner Bottlemakers award for innovative packaging.
Crewe warehouse opened & Ecostacker production doubled.
2013
Sole UK Distributor for AFA Trigger Sprayers & 1 Litre Solvent Packs
Nexus Packaging becomes sole UK Distributor for AFA Trigger Sprayers.
1 litre solvent packs introduced. UN Freestanding, UN 5-130, 130 gramme, 5 litre container introduced. 2 x 5 litre and 4 x 5 litre Overpack boxes introduced.
2014
50th Custom Tool Commissioned
Commissioned our 50th custom tool. Introduced complete range of UN Combination Packs. Increased closure portfolio for Ecostacker to include tap caps and pump dispensers.
10 Year Anniversary.
2017
Moved to Hillington
We have moved to Hillington! We have combined our head office and seperate warehouse into one modern and exciting workplace with everything all under the one roof.
2018
Awarded BSI ISO 9001:2015
We implemented a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
